This locket is gilded silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
and has an attractive buckle motif that continues around the back of the locket. In Victorian speak it means “You are bound to me”. A true lover’s message! Inside there are two compartments for photographs.
It is on a silver gilt chain that can be also be worn on its own.
