Victorian Green Tourmaline & Diamond Drop Earrings

A very striking pair of earrings that were made in the late VictorianJewellery made in the the Victorian era (1839-1901). period, circa 1880-1900. Each earring has been set with a beautiful pear shaped green tourmalineTourmalines may occur in pink, red, yellow, blue, brown, black or green. The hardness is 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale.. They are well matched stones and a wonderful deep sea green colour. Above the stones are diamondA precious, lustrous gemstone made of highly compressed carbon.
