Victorian 9ct Back & Front Oval Locket With Ivy Leaf Motif

A charming 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold back and front locket that was made circa 1880. The term back and front means that the hinges and inner parts of this locket are metal.  The rest is 9ct gold. which was common practice in the VictorianJewellery made in the the Victorian era (1839-1901). era. It has been beautifully engraved with ivy leaves, orange blossom and pansies and has a cartouche on the reverse where you can engrave initials if wanted.
