The extent of the marking varies depending on the stone. Spots are favoured over larger stripes and markings.. The shouldersThe point on a ring where the central section meets the shank or band, often carved, decorated or inlaid with small diamond accent stones. are entwined knots which continue above and below the bloodstone. It is a lovely design and was made in 1863 in Birmingham.
