An unusual 15ct62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. gold rectangular shaped locket that was made circa 1880-1900. It is full of meaning with the horseshoe motif facing upwards for “Good Luck” and the buckle for “I am bound to you”. It opens to reveal two compartments for photographs. On the reverse is an engraved monogram “E”. It could also be “DEO” for God. A perfect gift to someone you love.
