An unusual VictorianJewellery made in the the Victorian era (1839-1901). 15ct62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. gold locket which opens by lifting up the hinged trefoilA decorative ornament composed of three parts or leaves. piece. Inside it hinges out to reveal four compartments for photographs. There is a shield shaped cartouche on the reverse that can be engraved with initials if wanted. It was made circa 1860.
