A Scottish AgateA variety of cryptocrystalline quartz (chalcedony), typically banded in appearance. The use of agate in jewellery dates back to the Stone Age. Brooch with a smooth, flat finish. Two tilted curling āCāsā link with a central āOā in an elegant flowing design. It was made circa 1860 and is in lovely condition.
