A beautiful and impressive heavy gage 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold “Gas Pipe” or “Tubo Gas” necklace. It was made in the 1930-1945 period when these classic collars were popular. The reason why this style is called Gas pipe is because of the old style gas pipes that were in existence before World War 11. It is a flexible tubular collar that sits neatly and comfortably on the neck. This collar is particularly unusual in that it has a ridged design.
