Georgian Cut Steel Drop Earrings

A lovely fine pair of GeorgianJewellery made in the Georgian era (1714-1830). cut steel drop earrings. They were made circa 1800 and are in good condition. Each facetedA faceted stone has small, flat-cut surfaces that make a sparkling effect on transparent stones. Facets act as both mirrors and windows. Reflecting light and channelling light into a stone where it refracts and re-emerges. steel value was separately riveted which was a very time consuming job. They are as wearable today as they were in the 18th century and look especially good in candle light which was the original intention.
