A lovely ring that was made circa 1800-1820. It has been pinch collet set with three cushion cutA square or rectangular cut stone with rounded corners. Also called Antique Cut. diamonds in silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.

Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. gold and is typical of the period with tulip shouldersThe point on a ring where the central section meets the shank or band, often carved, decorated or inlaid with small diamond accent stones. and a highly decorative pattern around it and on either side of the diamonds. The underside has been engraved with flowers and stylised scrolls. This leads me to conclude that it is most likely of Dutch origin because of the tulips and the engraved decoration beneath. A beautiful and unusual ring to wear.
