A stunning Art NouveauA movement within the arts, particularly jewellery, evolving out of a response to mass production and the industrial revolution (1890-1915). Jewellery of this period was heavily influenced by nature and femininity, with its sweeping lines and organic motifs. 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold bracelet that was made in France circa 1900. The workmanship is top quality with fine chasing on the gold. The “fleur de lis” or Iris has long been the emblem of the French. The three petals of the flower were said to represent faith, wisdom and chivalry, and to be a sign of divine favour bestowed on France.
