Engraved Silver Locket

A very prettily engraved silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.

The inside reveals this is a double sovereign case, designed to hold two coins.

The inside is stamped with maker’s markInitials or trademark stamped or engraved on a piece. Sandamp;B and with hallmarksSystem of marking precious metals, not required on antique jewellery, but sometimes marks can be found. for Birmingham 1910.
