Edwardian Silver & Enamel Flowers Locket

A pretty oval silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
locket which has been hand painted in enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. with flowers in delicate pink, violet, green and white shades. Under the enamel the silver has been engine turned engraved which shows through the translucent white enamel and adds extra detail. It was made circa 1910-1920.
