locket which has been hand painted in enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. with flowers in delicate pink, violet, green and white shades. Under the enamel the silver has been engine turned engraved which shows through the translucent white enamel and adds extra detail. It was made circa 1910-1920.
