An unusual 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold late EdwardianJewellery made in the Edwardian era (1901-1914). ring that was made in Chester in 1915. It seems at first impression to be a simple plain signet ringA ring with a central plaque on which one’s initials, a seal, or a crest is engraved. but the top hinges open to reveal a little compartment for a photograph. A special ring to wear that carries with it a secret!
