A charming 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold locket that was made in Birmingham in the early 1900s. It has been engraved on both sides with a swallow and a branch of roses. The swallow was considered daring, risk-seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. It also meant âEverlasting loveâ and âloyaltyâ as swallows mate for life. The rose branches emphasise love. It opens to reveal a compartment for a photograph. A perfect gift to someone that you love.
