A round locket that was made circa 1900-1910. It is 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) back and front. The term â9ct Back & Frontâ means the front and back are 9ct gold and the inner frames and hinges are metal. It is a lovely design and has been engraved on both sides with swallows and branches of roses. The swallow was considered daring, risk-seeking, and a symbol of change for good in the future. It also meant âEverlasting loveâ and âloyaltyâ as swallows mate for life. The rose branches emphasise love. It opens to reveal two compartments for photographs.
A perfect gift to someone that you love.
