Edwardian 18ct Gold Festoon Necklace Set With Various Coloured Gemstones

A very pretty 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold necklace that was made circa 1900-1910. It has a large oval sapphireBlue is the best-known colour for this gemstone but it can be found in all colours of the spectrum. After diamond, sapphire is the hardest gemstone.

The best quality citrine is found in Brazil. and two yellow zircons and four pink tourmalines.  It is a festoon design that sits beautifully on the neck.
