A 15ct62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. gold tie with a burgee for the Royal Clyde Yacht club. It was founded in 1834 and amalgamated with the Royal Northern Yacht club at a later date. In Yacht clubs members may fly their club’s burgee while under way and at anchor, day or night. This is a finely enamelled example that was made circa 1900-1910 and would be ideal for a member today! All our tie pins come with a stopper at the end of the pin.
