A spectacular pair of long drop earrings that were made circa 1920 and are probably of Spanish or Portuguese origin. They are large and impressive and have been set with graduated rose diamonds in pinched collet settings. The pearls are baroque and have been set within gold mounts. The main body of the earrings is silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
