Blue Topaz & Amethyst Earrings

A pair of Modernist earrings, made in London in 1961. I love the colour combination and elegant design. They are 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold with tiny diamonds at the corners of the blue topazIt comes in many colours, including brown, green. blue, yellow, red, pink and orange. Topaz is very hard, being 8 on the Mohs scale, with a high cleavage. .
