A beautiful 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) gold brooch that features a lady with hair scooped in to a bun set with two small rose diamonds. She has a rose diamondA precious, lustrous gemstone made of highly compressed carbon. Diamonds are one of the hardest materials known to mankind. Colours of diamonds range from colourless, yellow, orange and brown to almost black. Natural coloured (or ‘fancy’) diamonds can be extremely rare. The cut, colour, clarity and carat weight of a diamond are the criteria jewellers use… set necklace and a flower set with a small rose diamond on the left hand side. It reads “Printemps” The French word for Spring so this is a celebration of the season with the freshness of youth and beauty. The lady is surrounded by a circle of rose diamonds. It comes in the original Morocco brown leather tooled case with silk inside that has J. Carbona. Artes 395 printed on the silk. So this brooch was originally retailed in Mexico in the early 1900s.
