A beautiful 15ct62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Jewellery of this period was heavily influenced by nature and femininity, with its sweeping lines and organic motifs. necklace that was retailed by the firm Murrle Bennett & Co in their Regent Street premises in the early 1900s. The design is most likely by Archibald Knox who was a very known and respected designer in the Art Nouveau period. He also did work for Liberty. It is set with two opals.
