A good double strand of cultured pearls that date from the 1930s. The pearls are graded to a maximum of 8mm and are a beautiful creamy whitish grey colour and very well matched. The stringing is good with separately knotted thread between the pearls near the clasp. The art DecoA movement within the arts between the two Great Wars (1920-1935) across Europe and the US, characterized by its clean, geometric designs. The aesthetic was intended to celebrate an age of progress and the modernity of the machine. geometric clasp is 18ct75% pure gold (or 750 parts pure gold and 250 parts other metals) white goldWhite gold is an alloy of gold and at least one other white metal – most often nickel or palladium (both of which act as a bleaching agent to reduce the natural yellow colour of the gold). and has been set with three diamonds. It has a good hook system that is secure. One strand is longer than the other so when worn it looks really pretty.
