There is a reason why this 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold locket is diamondA precious, lustrous gemstone made of highly compressed carbon. Diamonds are one of the hardest materials known to mankind. Colours of diamonds range from colourless, yellow, orange and brown to almost black. Natural coloured (or ‘fancy’) diamonds can be extremely rare. The cut, colour, clarity and carat weight of a diamond are the criteria jewellers use… shaped as it is all about love. Literally “You are my diamond” and the ivy motif on the reverse means “Cling to me” It was made in 1921 in Birmingham and is in lovely condition. It opens to reveal two compartments for photographs. A perfect present to someone that you care for and you can have her initials engraved on the shield if wished
