Alan Gard is a London jeweller. He has worked with famous names such as Andrew Grima and then went on to set up his own business. He has exhibited at both Goldsmiths Hall and the Design Centre London, as well as various exhibitions in America. He has won prizes in the prestigious De Beers engagement ring design contest and designed all the jewellery and medals for the films Nicholas and Alexandra and Modestie Blaise.
Alan today is well established in the London hierarchy of top quality jewellers through his reputation for creating unique pieces.
This heavy gage 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) gold collar designed by Alan and made in 1990 is such a smart look. It is composed of thirteen individual articulatedIn jewellery, an articulated piece is composed of segments with flexible connections. segments that drape beautifully around the neck. The finish is a softly coloured frosted gold with a contrasting polished molten gold edging.
