An unusual pair of 14ct58.5% pure gold (or 585 parts pure gold to 415 parts other metals) gold cufflinks which have been set with two Greek or Roman coins. They each have a lion rampant on them. The backs are hinged with sprung fittings. They were made in the 1970-1980 period.
